For two decades Udo Erasmus has dedicated his time to understanding the effects of fats and oils
on health. Udo Erasmus received his B Sc. in zoology, followed by two years of graduate studies in bio-
chemistry and genetics at the University of British Columbia.
In 1980 he was poisoned while working carelessly with pesticides.
After doctors were unable to help him, he
sought the answers he needed by burying himself in nutrition research.
He wrote a book called "
Fats that heal, Fats that kill".
Realising that it was difficult for consumers to obtain healthy natural oils, Udo Erasmus pioneered a technology
for pressing and packaging fresh oils under the exclusion of light, heat and oxygen, so as to obtain a balance of
healthy Omega 3 and Omega 6 Essential fatty acids.
